WHAT IS FLED?

FLED stands for Freshmen Leaders in Education and Human Development. While we are connected with the College of Education and Human Development, freshmen of any major can apply. Being connected to the college means we get some awesome perks like our connections in Harrington and other tools and resources that will help make your freshman year a successful one.

WHAT WE DO

We have meetings every Wednesday at 6PM in Rudder Tower. Each week we come together to hear from guest speakers and career professionals, participate in workshops, and grow as friends and leaders. Some weeks our meetings are committee meetings where we meet and connect with our fellow committee members to organize and plan FLED events. We love to host socials, hangouts, service projects, retreats, fundraisers, and much more.

FLED has 6 committees: Programs, Outreach, Service, Development, Traditions, and Operations. Each committee has specific jobs within FLED and the freshmen get to play a big role in what events and activities we do.
